ALL,
There is a 65 GS Division meetup, meet & greet, cookout, party being planned for Friday, July 7 at the BCA National Meet in Brookfield.
As luck would have it, Tony Sollazo resides approx. 5-6 miles from the host hotel, the Sheraton Brookfield. It's a nice cul-de-sac that
can accommodate a number of cars (hopefully with his neighbors approval!).
It would be helpful to get some kind of people count/car count for this event. Please post here if possible.
Open to all the 64-66 Specials, Skylarks and GS cars.

We can make it, 2 people. Tony, send me a PM.

Four people. Since I'll be bringing a car to be judged, I won't be driving a Buick.

Hi Everyone,
I hope everyone who's planning to come to the meet can make it over! So many of you helped me tremendously with the restoration of our Skylark. It'd be great to meet you in person, and look forward to seeing all of our 65's together!
Let me know if you are in and I will pm you my address.
Thanks!
Tony

WHAT ??!!!
Transmission out on that car? haha

No pressure, did you volunteer to help push the 65? On a lighter note, I would bring the T-Type if I can get it drivable, it has only set in storage sense 1999, and so far I have driven it down the street to the car wash, but not to fast, the tires are square. Wish me luck.

Anyone have some intel on the parking arrangements for our cars in Brookfield? Blacktop, grass? Distance the trailers will be parked from the show cars. Ability to move our cars in and out? Looking for general information on the show layout.
-
From my experience, typically the National BCA meets are on pavement. You are allowed to drive your car in and out , with the exception of Saturday once the show field is closed for judging. There normally is an area available for car washing. Pictures of an Oldsmobile meet held there show a lot of pavement and very little shade.
Here is a link to the BCA thread on the Nationals topic : http://forums.aaca.org/topic/280749-2017-buick-club-of-america-national-meet-brookfield-wi-july-5-8/ (http://forums.aaca.org/topic/280749-2017-buick-club-of-america-national-meet-brookfield-wi-july-5-8/)
The following is edited from the BCA forum
The meet is being held at or just adjacent to the host hotel.
Also, to those who have never attended a BCA national meet: Just because the Registration Desk is open certain hours during the meet, including Saturday morning, does NOT mean you can show up on that day, expect to register for the meet, and register a car for judging! It doesn't work that way. If you want to show a car and get it judged (no matter what type or class of judging), you have to register in advance of the meet! The purpose of the Registration Desk's hours at the meet is to allow members to pick up their registration packets, with event tickets, windshield cards for your registered show car, judging forms, etc., all of which have been prepared in advance of the meet.
The registration deadline is June 23. PERIOD! After that date, decisions will be made as to judging class size, which classes to split based on how many are registered in each class, how many judging teams are needed, how many awards to order, how many forms to get copied, how to lay out the show field parking lot, etc., etc.
Trailer parking will be in the Sears parking lot, which is just across the driveway that comes into the hotel. There is room for probably 75 trailers, all in walking distance. It is an ideal location.

Hi Everyone!
Just a reminder that the 65GS.com Meat & Greet is today at 3pm.
Our house is the one with the Astro Blue '65 car in the front. For those attending, you have our address via previous pm.
For those not driving a classic Buick, we ask that you park up or down the road so the classics have room in the court.
Reminder, please bring your chairs if you have them.
We'll have Burgers, Brats & Fixings, Beans, Slaw, Salad, Chips, Dip, Veggies, SODA, Beer, Water... So come Hungry and Thirsty!
Thanks for coming! Can't wait!
