Title: 3 speed shifter and radiator core support X braces
Post by: 35chevcoupe on August 29, 2015, 09:28:10 PM: I,m looking to buy a factory 3 speed shifter for my 65 GS . Also need the radiator X braces . there is a set of X braces on Ebay for 115.00 but would rather have the $$$$ go to someone here on the 65 site .
let me know what you have ...

If they are does that mean you have a set ?

Jim , from what I'm seeing the 64 and 65 are the same but i,m not sure about 66 .
maybe someone else can help us out on this :dontknow:

These were used in early 65 on downflow radiator cars , not
GS's as they are crossflow.65's have a bump out to clear the
Center hood latch brace.66's are straight and short as they
Go to different points on the core support!

No neither had AC but both ha the bow in the X Brace

I have a Hurst 3 speed out of my GS, maybe the rods too. You can have it. I will try to dig it out, maybe you can use some or all of it.

I need to get my butt in gear and get down there . only time I will be out of town in sept. will be for the Jefferson swapmeet .
So maybe i can get figure out a time when we can meet up .
If I know enough in advance maybe I can pickup another Buick GS guy for the trip down . :glasses9:
