Title: I feel violated
Post by: Buick_65 on April 13, 2016, 01:26:12 PM
Quote for my dash and two arm rest pads from Just Dashes.

$1475.  Ouch.....

Anyone have any experience with their finished product?

I feel your pain, I just got a quote on my dash pad from them, $800 for black, $1,000 for colors, is there any alternatives with other companies?

I needed a new one in blue for my 71 Challenger and that was $1000, seems like that's what they cost. Although black for that car was a couple hundred less. Good luck!

There are nice used dash pads out there. They are not advertised very often though. The last ones I purchased were through Parts Wanted listings either on this forum or on V8Buick.com.

The other good thing is that the used ones can be dyed with SEM Vinyl dye. Not a difficult process.

Restored a 1973 GTO for my brother a couple of years ago sent the dash out to just dashes they they did a great job. If anyone has seen a Pontiac dash it's the whole dash not just a pad like our cars, their pricey but we'll worth it

I think that is the irritating part....a whole Pontiac dash for $800 or just the skimpy single pad like ours for the same or more. You can buy the 67 style for half that and they are larger in size.

Unfortunately the 73 GTO dash was 1500.00 not 800

Mike (65GSNut) had a '66 pad done by someone else. Had a different grain to the vinyl but otherwise excellent results. Maybe he'll chime in.
