Title: buick special wagon parts car
Post by: 35chevcoupe on March 02, 2015, 09:04:25 AM
I'm waiting for a call from the owner of this car , can someone help me figure out what year it is for sure , the owner seems unsure of the year . By the looks of the grill it could be a 65 .
Any input ?   And is there anything on this car that will work on my 65gs as far as driveline parts ?
 :dontknow:

It's a '64.

The hood and inner front fenders will fit.  Can't think of anything else.
And if they want more then $50, it's too much. LOL

Yeah I know it looks pretty rough . I was just wondering about the rear end , thought I heard that the wagon and GS used the same rear end .
Mine has a 12 bolt chevelle rear in it and I want to find the right one .

It has the sometimes hard to find X bracing on the core support.

It appears to be a Minnesota car missing a windshield, not knowing how long it's been sitting there, you might have trouble getting it out of there one piece.

That looks to be a 64 basic wagon. I have a 65 by my shop and I am 99% sure that it does not have a GS rear end under it. The Sport Wagon with the windows in the roof is a heavier car and has the GS style rear end. The Sport Wagon has the boxed frame, but is five inches longer than the GS frame. The best part of that car looks to be the grille and maybe the back window if it doesn't have a streak down the middle of the glass like most of them do. The rear window fits all the A body wagons without the roof windows. The rear quarter panel on the passenger side would be interesting if, by any chance, it isn't rusted and dented (highly unlikely).

Well the guy did call me tonight and I'm gonna meet up with him this weekend . Not sure if I'll buy the car or not but wanna check out what else he has . Sounds like he has about 30 old cars he wants to sell .
