Title: 65 dash clock

Anyone have one restored quartz so it works correctly ? If not have details who to use ? Bought my father super clean Skylark been adding options doesn't want late model radio or anything only wants clock to work .

I've heard good things about Loren's recommendation.  However, I didn't find them first.  Instead I went with Omicron Clock:

They sell a kit to do the conversion.  I bought that but even as a model railroader the instructions really intimidated me!  So I sent them my clock and the kit and had them do the installation.  I've been extremely pleased.  The clock looks just like the factory clock because it is the same clock on the outside!  Here is the best photo I could find on short notice:

However, the mechanism is much more accurate than the clocks of the 1960s.  It is far better than most quartz movements that tend to be a bit fast.  This one really keeps accurate time.  It's a shame to change it when the daylight savings kicks on and off! 

I wouldn't be surprised if Instrument Services uses the same quartz movement as Omicron Clock.  I doubt you could go wrong with either outfit, but you do have a choice!
