Title: restoring a convertible top frame
Post by: 35chevcoupe on October 10, 2021, 07:43:36 PM
When restoring a convertible top frame is everyone completely taking the frame apart ? is there bushings that need replacing ? This will be my first convertible I've messed with and just curious as to what i,m getting into .
Any input would be great . Thanks in advance .

Hey John,

I just took the bows off of my frame because the bushings seemed tight.  If yours are worn, replacements are available.  Here's one, there might be others as well:

Thanks Chuck .
mine actually feels really tight also , maybe even a little too tight . Luckily I have 2 tops so i may play around with one of them .
