Jim,
Would you be willing to ship to 06250? WI is a bit of a drive from CT.

Sometimes the "TRACTOR SUPPLY CO." if there is a local store at both ends (shipping & receiving ends) will ship large objects like this since they transport goods between stores frequently. They only ship using skids though. I can't imaging what FedEx or UPS might charge for shipping heavy things like that.

Jim, Yeah its a black and tan hardtop. Coker is on back order. Estimated delivery is out over a year for rims and tires. My plan for yours, if we can get shipping arranged, would be to remount the tires with black wall out and paint the wheel centers Argent Silver. Probably would paint the redlines black too. Don't plan to use these as daily drivers. Just for showing as Unrestored Survivor.

Jim,
I contacted the UPS store in Green Bay. They are working up a price quote for shipping, including boxing and pickup. Should have it by end of the day. Will let you know.

Jim,
Been out of the office last couple of days. I got the quote from UPS in Green Bay. $820 for pickup, packaging and shipping. That's gonna make it cost prohibitive. Thanks for your time on this. Pontiac folks should have a good bit of interest in those redline tires.

Hi ,pack and ship  from sturgeon  bay  said $105 . Each .with out me taking  an actual tire there  just gave them approx size  and weight  .ups from green bay should be cheaper  40 miles away  but can't seem to talk to somebody actually at the  depot  next time I go to green bay  I'll try and check if your still interested. Jim

I have no experience, but have heard that Greyhound is among the cheapest ways to ship large items.  Might be worth an inquiry.

I just ordered four tires from Diamondback located in South Carolina, shipping to NW Ohio...$140 FED-X Ground. Cost must be in the weight of the rims.

The price difference might be in the packaging. Typically tires aren't shipped in a box, since they really don't need to be protected. Whereas, tires and rims need to be in a box, with packaging around them, so that they don't get banged up by stuff being thrown on top of them, etc.

YRC will ship terminal to terminal on a pallet very reasonably. I have used them several times for large items and they are traceable through their website.

I also saw that Fastenal has discontinued their East-West shipping. Some side effects of the blank blank better programs that are being put into place. Diesel fuel has put many trucks in the parking lot and profit versus price is an equation only for the big dogs and their friends. This is not the first time many of us saw this game. Remember the gas lines in the mid seventies?
