Title: Rear Fuel Line Clip
Post by: paul massicotte on May 20, 2013, 11:53:09 AM
The photo below is from a 65 frame.  My 66 has the same clip, and I'm trying to source a new one.  Is this reproduced?  Any of the catalog ones (AMK, GroundUp, Ames, Fusick, Ecklers) seem to either have the tab in the bend to push into a frame or the flat where the screw goes through is too short.  Is there a source?

Have you tried InLine Tube ? They have many of those types of items.

I should've mentioned them as well.  Their CLP103 or CLP104 look close, but not quite long enough.

A clip like that is very easy to reproduce at home.  All you need is a vise and a piece of steel rod (drill bit will work) the same diameter as the tube it goes around.  Cut a piece of sheet metal to the right width, then fold it around the piece of rod and squeeze the ends together tight with the vise.   You can then cut the ends to length and drill the appropriate size hole through it.  Done it many times.

That's a great idea Brian.  I may just go that route.
