Title: rear seat side panels
Post by: BuckeyeBuicks on April 16, 2018, 02:07:32 PM
I have new front door panels for my 65 Skylark GS from Legendary. I was going to try to reuse my old ones but we all know how that is going to look with the new fronts. I called Legendary and they said they were a special order and it would be 8 to 10 weeks and I should replace the other pieces that go from the package tray to meet the side panel and I should buy new ash trays too. My question is does any body know if the rear side panels that Cars sell would match the Legendary ones I already have?  I called Cars but they could not tell me for sure as they don't have the Legendary pieces to compare them to. I thought with so many well informed members here some one may have an answer for me. :help:

My advice: Wait the 10 weeks. Being an upholstery person, I can tell you that even if you can get black, which you can, different dye lots etc may end up making them look different over time.

That and I think everyone can vouch for Legendary's quality.

Ordered them from Legendary at Spring Carlisle, even got a small show discount. The more I thought about it I wanted  to get them from Legendary so I would be sure to match the front panels as advised.  Now all I have to do is wait for them to get here!

Dear Mike and mid-60s Buick caregivers,

Ordered them from Legendary at Spring Carlisle, even got a small show discount. The more I thought about it I wanted  to get them from Legendary so I would be sure to match the front panels as advised.

Glad you took the conservative route!  :hello2:  There is enough uncertainty when it come to classic cars.  No need to take additional risk!  :violent1:

Now all I have to do is wait for them to get here!

When it comes to a classic car, we all need all the patience we can manage!   (http://www.canebas.org/WeatherCat/Forum_support_documents/Custom_emoticons/patience_emoticon.jpg)
