Title: Cure for posi clunking
Post by: PGBuick on June 03, 2009, 08:55:39 PM
My fresh 65 posi was making nasty grinding/clunking noises on low speed turns after an extended highway drive.  I drained and refilled with two containers of GM posi lube plus Valvoline full synthetic gear lube.  Problem solved.  Just FYI in case anyone else has this problem.  I had originally filled with non-synthetic lube and one bottle of GM additive.

Good point Pat, I too have had to use 2 doses of limited slip additive.
