Title: John Egle's 65 Project Secrets
Post by: Chris on August 22, 2009, 10:30:22 PM
NEWS FLASH!

New information has just been uncovered pertaining to John Egle's current 65 GS project!

For those who know John and have seen his cars, you'll know that the amount of hard work and love that goes into each one of his cars is amazing.  I've often sat back and wondered how this guy stays so focused on getting the job done while always doing the job so damn right!

Well guys, I started doing a little investigating and it appears that John has been taking a lot of unfair credit for years.  I'll call this out for what it is and simply address it as slave labor.

With the help of Johns wife, we are only beginning to uncover the whole story and we feel that eventually we'll set the record straight in hopes of getting him to change some of his evil ways and try to gain some type of restitution for those who have be exploited.

Here is where the story begins.

Johns lovely wife Karen has an amazing doll collection that she is very proud of.  The collection takes up an entire room and is a major topic of conversation when visiting them at their home.  They are a really neat couple (a couple of big kids) with many neat toys and they've been together long enough to respect one each others hobbies while bringing everything together in their home so that it speaks volumes to their love of life and one another.

Things have been great in the Egle household for all of these years until just a couple of months, Karen has found small grease marks on the faces and hands of several of her dolls.  What surprised her the most though was upon coming home one day from the store, she found a doll shoe on the garage floor.  Upon asking John about the activities around the house, John just smirked at her and grumbled something that sounded like "sloppy dolls, better start picking up the pace".

Being curious, she set up a hidden camera in the garage and let it run for a week undistributed.  The  day finally came when she checked the camera and you will not believe what she found! (see the attached pictures).

Karen is in big trouble now!!! She let them work on the car without white gloves, standing on the fresh silver paint with boots on and all this while drinking beer!!! Well maybe the drinking beer thing is not all that bad.

I asked about the tools in the doll room, once when we visited . There was a sudden change of topic on John's part ;D.
This explains the attention to small detail and little jobs getting done ::)

Much is explained now,

Yes Loren... it all comes together now!

This whole thing really has Karen and I appalled and we've contacted the courts to see if there is anything we can do for them.  Unfortunately we live in a country with almost no existing "doll laws" therefore we are looking into other legal avenues to recover back pay for them.

Karen feels that they should at least be entitled to a first generation (Mint In Box) Barbie Dream House so they might have a chance at living out the remainder of their lives in luxury (they've been through so much).

More to come...

I think that you may have just stumbled across our "other legal avenue".

I could use a bunch of them.....where does he get them???
I particularly like that redhead. She's hot!
Let's see....a couple to clean up after my cats, and to keep them amused (they sleep too much).
And a couple GI Joes to track down and solve my groundhog problem.
And if the redheads come in a lager size....I'd like some of those too!
......you know, vacuuming, clean the windows, do laundry, dishes, etc, etc.......

especially 'etc' ;D  ;D

Guys,

OK, OK, OK.  I've been REALLY busy at work lately and this is the only way I can get the convertible finished in time for the 2010 BCA Nationals in Ames, Iowa.  Just to set the record straight, they're compensated very well and have excellent fringe benefits, as illustrated in the attached photos.  The tender exchanging hands in photo #4 is the actual size of the cash remaining in my convertible restoration fund.

Please note that my small crew is not complaining -- there is an infinite pool of feminine companionship available in Karen's vast doll collection.  The crew generally spends all of their money on beer and women, and the rest they waste.

Walt, I have gotten the small crew to clean up after the cats; now I'm trying to get the cats to help in the garage.  Unfortunately, they do not have opposable thumbs, making them less than effective as auto mechanics.  Besides, cat hair on a black interior is not a good thing.

OMG that is TOO FUNNY!!  ;D ;D
Dig those mini beers and  Chinese food!
That cat would make a great car duster....if it was stuffed.

Chris, I'm still after that redhead in that first post....what a doll!
There's a rumor that she knows how to weld. Oh baby!

Oh God John... you've got me crying I'm laughing so hard!

Hey Walt... should be a cheap date... what do you suppose it would cost to mail her from Kansas City?   :D

Whole new meaning to the term "Mail Order Bride"

I don't think she'd eat much either...

Walt, spent some time with John today and he introduced me to the redhead - she is hot, HOT, HOT!
You have got to get to KC to meet her. And, yes, she knows how to weld.
