Title: Correct '65 GS fan clutch for factory AC cars

I just had a correct, original fan clutch restored by Fred Oliva in Florida for my '65 GS.  I thought I would post some pictures of it for those that may not have seen a correct original.  The aftermarket ones that are readily available fit and function fine, but don't look the same.  To that note, I have a barely used aftermarket one that I will be taking off the car that I will make someone a deal on if they need one.  It has less than 500 miles on it.  
  If anyone is interested in having one restored, Fred does an awsome job on them and replates the front cover and knows how to put the proper date and code stampings on them (he got started doing them for Corvettes).  Cost is $200 per fan clutch.

If I had one, she probably would describe me that way, but I have never been married.  Also probably has alot to do with why I have never gotten married!

Brian,

A beautiful fan clutch indeed! If I can decode the date code (L54) correctly, does it read December 5, 1964.  Is that correct? Thanks for sharing. This is per Duane Heckman's book. A must read for us GS nuts.

That is right on the date code.  He put that on there because my car was built 3rd week of Jan. 1965.   By coincidence, that was the date code that was already on that fan clutch when he cleaned it up.  The original from my car was long gone when I got it, and this one came off of a parts car. Mine had a clutch and fan from a 455 engine on it when I got it.
