My car is a 64' but I would think the 65's are the same. My interior color is black. I am trying to find out what kind of black was used on the dash and steering column. Satin, Gloss, Flat and any other details. A previous owner painted the majority of it a gloss color.

Mark,
I think it should be an eggshell, or semi gloss. I had the painter who did mine do a number of test panels so we could see
what matched best. We added a flattening agent to the paint in 20% increments from 80% gloss to about a 20%.
Can't recall what we ended up with, but if you need to know, I could dig it all up.
Somebody else may have a simpler solution.

Hi Mark
I looked up the interior paint information that you requested, as per the 1965 Buick and Buick Special interior
colors information sheet. Gloss colors were used on - Painted upper instrument panel, ashtray, directional signal lever and shift lever housing, steering column, radio rear speeker grille(wagon), instrument panel, side panel (painted lower), windshield upper and side garnish mouldings, side roof rail mouldings, front and rear center pillar,
seat parts, luggage compartment filler panel.
Flat colors "O" Gloss colors were used on. Painted upper instrument panel, rear window defroster grille, rear seat speeker, package shelf, guidmatic, front radio speeker grille, windshield lower frame (exposed end area), compartment front panel.

I can't speak for 1964, but..
Didn't 65's with black interiors actually have a dark charcoal dash....not black?
65-66 dashes had a slightly flattened finish. These Dupont paint charts specify either unpolished lacquer or adding 2 oz per pint of flattening agent for the correct sheen.
Dupont paint chip charts like this one will have color samples for exterior and interior colors.
Here's the 1964 chart:

PS....I just bought the 65 chart he had :glasses9:

The 1965's with black interior had the dash painted what could be described as a semi gloss black as stated in earlier posts. The 1965's with white interior had the dash and steering column painted charcoal gray. The carpet, console and dash pad where also gray. Only the seat covers and door panels where white vinyl.

Thanks for clearing that up John!

I agree with john.
The ONLY interior with grey dash, steer column, carpet was the option #154 int in white.
Pont., chevy, and olds white int had the black dash, carpet.
Buick with the white int. and grey trim looked so much better, the only prob. is finding the correct shade of grey.

My 64 red interior is NOT glossy. Semi-flat, like the 65.
