On my calendar. Looking forward to meeting more of you 65 GS guys in this area.
Chuck
What about the guys out of the area ? LOL
On my calendar also. Hey Chuck, is the Gilmore open that week ?
Dan
All are welcome, of course! The outer buildings and exhibits at the Gilmore are open till November 30, so they will be open that week. You're welcome to headquarter here; I'd love to go with you.
Chuck
Kevin.
We can add to the list.

Milton,
Glad you are going to make it. Several of us will be staying at the Comfort Inn while in Defiance.
Dan
X4! And I'm not even able to make it, but glad to hear so many can! Have fun!
I can't over emphasize the IPass, it's good all the way to the east coast.

The IPass is definitely an essential item. Cost $10 for the IPass and need a $40 deposit through a credit card. Good forever. Not only allows you to bypass the toll booths it cuts the toll cost in half. Pays for itself with one trip through Chicago.
If you hurry you can get an IPass mailed to you before you leave. Oh yeah, keep mine loose and use it in several different vehicles.

It's been a while since I have been through Chicago. Does anyone have a suggestion? I'm willing to pay tolls if it's the best.
Milton
Last several times around Chicago I avoided the whole mess and went straight south of Rockford down to I80, then east.

Make sure you guys take lots of pics.

Great news Chuck.
Glenn and I are ready and excited, can't wait for 10-11 Sept to get here. It is looking like 12-13 cars and 15, 65.com members plus family and growing.

I have very willingly agreed with my Yukon to join the fun so we will be heading over to NW Ohio on Friday the 9th and deciding on Sunday when to head back.
At this point I do not intend to bring my 65 and trailer unless someone needs the trailer.
My wife is working out of town the week before and after so she will not be joining us.
I haven't made reservation yet so I was wondering if there is a hotel of choice others are using?
The list Kevin posted sounds like some good choices. Thanks Kevin.

There could be some showers in the area but we won't let them dampen our spirits. If you're reluctant to drive your pride and joy in the rain I understand. But please if that's the case, don't just not come, drive your daily driver, this is as much about the people as the cars.Amen!
More later.
Kevin
Just installed a set of NOS wiper blades, every car should see rain a few times in 50 years.
I hate to be the 11th hour killjoy but my elderly Dad I had mentioned in a previous post managed to land himself in CCU. I honestly can't be 3 hours away. If you are of faith, please pray for him. If not, toast him with a scotch. Seriously, I was so looking forward to actually meet all of you but first things first. Sorry to bail on such short notice. :(Jerry, prayers from Defiance for your dad and for you. You will be missed.
Jerry
Many thanks to Rollaround, Vinnie and wives for the great time and their hard work to put this together!

Thank you all for your prayers and well wishes. Dad is OK but he isn't coming home. He is resting in long tem hospice now.
How quickly things can change is such a short time. So I wanted to share a photo of the old man; it was taken Just before we put the car up for the winter several years ago.
