Found rocker molding clips on EBay. They worked great, perfect fit.

Those look really good. The diameter is also correct for our '64 and '65s.

Thanks Loren for posting the pix. They worked well.
I did flatten out the small tab to insure the fastener stays centered.

  It takes 8 for each side. I had found the same discs a while back but can not find the place I had seen them.
