Thanks guys, I'm sure we will have a great time. We have some sight seeing planed as well. Dan, we hope 2 days are enough time for Acadia.
Pat and I are definately going to get together. I'm looking forward to seeing that GS convert he got from me. The pics he sent me of the build, as it progressed, won't do it justice, I'm sure.
I have also made plans to stop and see Carmen Faso, It's been a long time since the last time he and I got together.
We will be spending the 4th at Niagra Falls and be in Danvers Tuesday.
Will have to take lots of pics. Hope there is a good presentation of '65's.

So, it's Sunday and the BCA nationals are wrapped up and in the bag.
It was a great show and swap meet, with a wide year spectrum of Buicks. There were some very fine quality restored cars to see and some beautiful modified cars as well.
Unfortunately there was not as good of '65GS turn out as in Ames,IA. Pat had the only '65 GS on the show field for judgeing. There were two other '65 GS that showed up on Saturday.
As I suspected, the pics I've seen of Pat's '65 GS convert, did not do the car justice .
It is a very fine example of our cars and of fantastic quality. We enjoyed his company and hospitality.
Also got to meet Tony G in person, another real fine guy to know. If you ever have the opportunity to meet some of the other '65 GS folks, I recommend you do so. We have a great group of members here. Can't forget to mention Ted N. was there also.
Got to stop and see Carmen on our way through, he is still doing his thing in the North Tonamanda ,NY area. Loren

Good to meet you, I left right after hearing the sweet sound of the 65's leaving the field.
How's Carmen? I want to go to Niagra Falls, stop by for another truckload of parts
-
Hi Ted,
Carmen seems to be doing fine, He no longer does engine builds as you may know. From what he explained to me, he has is one of those rather rare conditions and cause is not known. He did say that MS was ruled out.
He mentioned meeting you as I was replacing the rear brakes on our truck at his place. Once again, he saved my butt.
It was good to see you and am sure we will bump into each other again.
We are haveing a nice drive through the New England area and plan to see some of Acadia National Park tomorrow.

Loren, make sure you pig out on the lobster at one of the lobster shacks. You pick out the lobster and they boil it while you wait. Price is good too. Hope the weather is good for you.

Dan,
The weather hasn't been too bad so far. We had rain Friday night, helped Pat clean show cars on Saturday morning. We had a little rai on the drive today and again this early evening. Boston area was a bit hot, I was told it was more then normal.
Took the drive loop through Acadia, stopped a lot along the way. It is a very beautiful area. Definately worth the trip. In a few more years I can purchase one of those lifetime passes.
In the White Mtns of New Hampshire tonight, tomorrow on to Vermont.
Need some sleep,
Loren

Loren,
Sounds like your having a great trip!

Loren,
Glad you enjoyed the park and I have one of those lifetime passes.
Talked with Carmen after you were there and he told me how he had helped you AGAIN.
Enjoy the trip back.

We've spent two days in Bellowsfalls,VT, visiting Roxy's brother and his wife. Having a good time, some very beautiful victorian homes here. Really enjoy the architechture of these old homes.
Tomorrow a last stop to see Pat and his '64, pick up a manifold, then start the trip home. Wish it wasn't such a detour from our route to up your way Dan, I'd stop by and take a look at that recent addition.
Yes, Carmen and I agreed that we need to stop meeting that way. Three trips to see him and some sort of repairs nearly each time. Crazy thing.

Made it to Decatur, IN today. Visited another National Park in the Akron area.
It will be good to be home in a couple of days.

Hey Tony,
It's always nice for me to put a face to a fellow Buick lover. It was good to finally get to meet you in person.
Met another Buick nut there and now have the manifold I needed. I'll have to get a carb kit and go through the carb I got from you. Thanks again.
Latter,
Loren
