Title: ventiport inserts restoration ?
Post by: 35chevcoupe on March 19, 2017, 01:01:48 PM
Has anyone investigated a way or tried to find a process for restoring the ventiport inserts . They appear to be a brushed chrome finish .
Is there a company that can do that ?
 :dontknow:

Good question John.  I need to do the same.  Not sure what material it is, but looks like it could be fairly fragile if you got to aggressive with a cleaning process.

Any and all experience would be appreciated.

Dear John, Chuck, and mid-60s Buick "love d'em shine" types, . . . .  :love4:

It isn't much of a suggestion, but perhaps send some photos to Jimmy at Custom Metal Finishing?

They did a great job on Biquette's hood ornament and Wheelz really like them.  You could at least ask for a quote and see what they have to say.
