Everyone,
Loren recently had cataract surgeries on both eyes. Unfortunately, as a result of the surgery, he developed a detached retina in his left eye. As this is being typed he is undergoing surgery to repair it. His wife Roxy will provide an update later, but Loren will be unable to be active on the site for the near future.
I'm sure all of us will be wishing for his complete and speedy recovery.

from Roxy - Loren's wife. Loren is home now. He will be spending quite a few weeks face down for the surgery to heal. He has a followup with the doctor tomorrow morning and we will find out more about recovery times and when he will be able to read the forum and emails again In the mean time I will monitor this thread, his private messages and emails, and read them to him. Thank you all for the well wishes, I know it means a lot to him.

Loren sends his many thanks to all of you for your prayers and well wishes. I have been reading all of your great messages to him. He is overwhelmed at all the response to this recent set back. He is already getting impatient with the restrictions but I am right here to crack the whip :whip2: and make sure he follows all the doctors orders. His next appointment is on Monday and we are hoping that he can be up a bit more than he is right now. I will make another post after we find out what next week will bring.
Thanks again to all of you - :hello2: :sunny:

After a long day at the doctors office he told us that everything is looking good so far. In 48 hours Loren will be able to be upright for the full day (he can hardly wait for that). We were told that everything is healing on schedule. He still can't see anything out of the left eye but that is to be expected. Vision should start to come back in 3 - 4 weeks. He still has lots of eye drops and is not allowed to lift anything 20 pounds or more for at least a month. Thank you to everyone for all their prayers and support.

Roxy, this is GREAT NEWS! Please tell Loren I will get his name on our Church Prayer List here in Seminole Florida! We will be praying for a quick, healthy & positive recovery... its in Gods hands now!
