Title: 67 LeSabre Convertible
Post by: Chris on July 03, 2009, 01:47:42 PM
Hello,

I have a buddy who's working on a 67 LeSabre convertible and he needs to replace the trunk pan.

Is there anything out there that can be used for a decent interchange part or is it basically a "must fab" deal?

The car is pretty amazing...  59,000 miles and very straight and complete.  It's kind of surprising that a car in this awesome of shape would even have trunk floor issues but sure enough the entire area where the frame mounts are located are gone.    ???

Did I mention that the car is for sale... $8,500 if anyone is interested (340 2bbl)

Any help would be appreciated...

Thanks,

Chris

Is this the blue one that I saw in Lima a couple of weeks ago?? I could not get closer than about 100 yards to it though.

Hi Tom..

This is actually a Red car that was just purchased from an auction.

She's at the body shop right now getting some minor paint work and getting the trunk floor fixed.

From what I'm hearing, the trunk pans in the 67's rotted away really quick for some reason.

Later,

Chris

Chris, that gives me another one to look for should I ever get back that way again. ;D I was actually back in Lima this past Thursday night to pick up another load from P & G. Unfortunately, I didn't have any spare time for socializing, since I had to wait for almost 5 hours to get unloaded up in Milan, MI earlier that day.

See you in Columbus later this month, and I'm anxiously waiting for that ride in your convertible. ;)
