door panel metal nail strip ?

Ive run into a problem on my front door panels , the metal nail strips are rotted and falling apart as we try to remove them . Ive looked all over and can't seem to find anyone that reproduces them . Whats everyone using to secure the door panels to the doors ?
I did find some 3/4 nail clips but they are only a inch wide and the nail is to close to the edge of the panel .
