Steel wheel

Is there a way to figure out rim width with tires mounted, I have 4 14? wheels with Firestone red lines I plan on listing and I want to describe correctly

Hi,if you Google your tires you  should come up with max width  of the tire  lay a straight  edge across the tire and measure to the rim some subtraction  should get you close .jim

 The internet is a great source of information. I am laughing as I type. Many early steel rims if not most were built by Kelsey Hayes. If you look by the valve stem you should see a two letter code or maybe lightly sand it to see it better. This code will tell you what the wheel is if you do a google search,or maybe it will tell you it fits a Tesla. If it says it is a late 60?s to 1968 wheel the code is probably correct. The disc brake wheels were not too likely until 1969. Be careful if it  is a 14 x 7 steel wheel because it may be that pot of gold at the end of the rainbow?most steel wheels are 5-6 inches wide and very common.
