Can?t wait to try the new intake
« on: March 25, 2022, 06:53:32 PM »
I got my hands on one of the new TA aluminum single 4 barrel intakes. Planning to put it on the recently acquired 66 GS. Just waiting to get the right carb for the car! The intake is very light and looks great.

Nice!
What is the price on one of those? I'm not seeing it on their website.
If you want max performance , you best go with a 750 or 800 cfm E'brock carb.
You had asked me about a 4181 carb but that's a Calif carb with smaller venturis... it won't flow as much as the 49 state 4180 carb.

Thanks Walt! They are $495, not bad considering what some people are asking for 56 year old heavy cast iron Qjet intakes. For now I will run a 4180 but may change to a Qjet later. The intake has both patterns. It sure is light compared to the old cast iron ones.

Doesn't look like a spread-bore Q-jet will fit on it. Wonder if they have another version avail.
$495 would be a great price for a Q-jet aluminum manifold!

Wonder what ALL those projections on the floor of the manifold does for airflow. This piece NEEDS to be tested for airflow & dyno.
Just my thoughts.
