Dear Jim and mid-60s Buick caregivers who are fussy about what rubber meets the road,
Hi ,looking at new tires wondering between diamondback or coker 225 70r14 redlines reading poor quality on cokers, balancing don't know where they make them. Diamond back redlines fading out? Dan what did you have on your car .jim
Actually, I never thought about who manufactures Coker tires. It would be interesting to know if they do their own manufacturing or have another outfit make their tires.
No doubt, Diamond Back tires are expensive. At least the DB-III tires are modified B.F. Goodrich Radial TAs which have a good reputation. Sorry, I haven't heard anything about Diamond Back red-lines fading. The DB-III white walls on my trusty wagon still look great. She doesn't spend much time outside and I am careful to apply tire dressing with UV protection. It is tough to ferret out from commentary whether the problem is poor manufacturing or lack of proper TLC.
Cheers, Edouard
