For Sale 1965 In dash Clock (New York) non functioning **SOLD**
« on: September 08, 2019, 07:35:14 PM »
**This item has been SOLD**

Hello,
I have a nice clock for sale.
I was looking for a clock for my convertible and ended up with two.

It has been tested, does not function. One metal tab on metal cover is missing.
Best offer plus shipping

Thanks,
Robert

That missing tab won't have any negative effect. :)
So, anyone looking for a clock in working condition for 64-69 with black face dash, this is a good deal.

Is this in working condition? OP says it hasn't been tested. If in working condition, I'll take it.

Not tested.

Other than installing in vehicle, explain how to bench test and I will function test.

My apologies. Was a long day in the heat and too close to bedtime...

To test, ground the case and supply 12v to the terminal, the spring will "wind", the points will open and the clock will run for a bit (about a minute or two) and then repeat the cycle.

Sometimes the points burn, stick or the clockwork gets dusty and stops.

But they are reparable and/or you can get an electronic kit to replace the clockwork.
