Nostalgia

Kinda looking around for light blue 11-1/2 to 13" metalflake steering wheel for my 64 special. I need the whole kit if possible, and in driver quality is just fine. Have several 64 parts to help in a trade situation including the OEM wheel with a near perfect horn bar, pretty nice rim and a few decent splits around the hub. If you have one and its collecting dust and rust, let me know!  Bill at  yachtsman36@charter.net

Even looking around for a black or non metalflake wheel. Ideas? Thoughts?? Also been looking around for a decent vintage tach. Old Sun Super Tach? VDO?  Column mount with a 250-270* sweep would be cool. Just let me know...  Bill

I think I have an old Grant wood wheel with the mounting and horn kit off my 66. Chrome is not good, like all the old wheels. If interested I can get it out and take some pictures.

Would love to see some pics of the wood wheel if possible! Hopefully less than 15 inch OD?

Yo Walt... been looking at the new wheels @ 60.00 (all over town!) but the kit is an additional 40.00+ Unless a beater wheel shows up, maybe a next years project.  Bill

This is a 15" wheel, off a 66 GS, with the hub and horn kit, I would like $60.00 for the set, plus the shipping, as I said the chrome is poor.

Thanks for taking the time for the trouble and the pics! I actually measured my wheel and it came in at about 15-3/4" on he O.D.  Your 15" wheel would be the perfect nostalgia accessory, but the 3/4" difference just wont justify it. DANG!

I really thought mine was about 20"; seems so when youre on a bench seat, leaning over on the 4 speed stick etc. I was truly surprised when I measured it! I really think Im gonna hafta downsize to about 11-1/2" like the one Walt posted the link to. That one just seems really small, but the car steers effortlessly Guess we'll keep on searching. Thanks again,  Bill

Yo. Yo, Billy, I got a box of old, vintage tachometers...  Condition UNKNOW'D. I am certain they USED TO WORK at one time...  :icon_scratch:  nevertheless, make me an offer on which one or two you would like before I post them on various vintage hot rodder sites.    :headbang:

Hey Wheelz... thanks for thinking of me!  I actually picked up a Super Tach II from Bruno a while back (condition unknown) but it looks good. I may need one for parts ; ya never know.   Bill
