Hi Edouard,

I am still working on my cooling system overhaul. I'm hoping to get it done before the storms blow all the leaves away! And, take some new photos.

Dear Iain and mid-60s Buick caregivers,

I am still working on my cooling system overhaul.

Well, that is a clear impediment to taking pictures of Ruthy.  I do hope you can succeed with the minimum of blood and sweat and of course no tears!

I'm hoping to get it done before the storms blow all the leaves away! And, take some new photos.

That may be a tough deadline to meet!  At least up here the weather is definitely wild and woolly!

Cheers, Edouard  :occasion14:

Some of you might remember Mike and Jeff Spence from Tony?s party in Milwaukee. They drove Mikes 66 Gran Sport to the party. Jeff was still working on his 64 Skylark. Jeff?s car is done now and he sent some pictures to share.

Dear Brian and mid-60s Buick caregivers,

All pics are of the same car.....a couple of them were taken before I owned it.  It just seems to sit here being buried under stuff........... According to the picture I've owned it for about 11 years.........

Thanks for sharing!  It isn't the sort of thing we imagine for a car, but 50+ years is a lot of time for anything to be around.  All these cars have stories to tell.

Cheers, Edouard

More '64-'66 Specials and Skylarks . . . . in SPRING!
« Reply #44 on: March 20, 2019, 02:04:33 PM »
Dear mid-60s Buick caregivers,

It might not even remotely look like it where you live but today is the Vernal Equinox marking the transition from Winter to Spring.  Okay, might might a long time for your region to catch up with the astronomical alignments, but here in California Spring comes early.  So to remind everyone of upcoming attractions and encourage those in milder climates to keep your camera handy, I have a few photos of my trusty wagon in Spring:

As always, you can click on the pictures to get a larger image.  Here is a photo taken next to the Moraga ranch:

Here is one of that very important tailgate:

Finally, here is a view of the driver's side against a row of blooming plum trees:

Actually I had plans to take two more pictures, but alas those opportunities went up in a cloud of steaming coolant!

Even if it seems far away, Spring is definitely on its way no matter where you live!

Cheers, Edouard  :occasion14:

P.S. Those of you who can already drive your classic Buick - don't forget your camera or smart phone!
