Dear Michael, Loren, Chuck, and mid-60s Buick
"detail oriented types,"I am not 100% sure of the wheel, but I am thinking maybe 1961-62 Skylark. It is very close to my 64 wheel. Mine was in very sad shape. This one is in great shape except the color yellowing.
Thanks, I was curious of how you solved the worn-out steering wheel problem. It is a novel solution I hadn't seen before.
So ... getting back to the original question. The knob for the power top OR the power rear SW window is the same knob as is used on the radio.
Well I hate to disagree, but while the knob is identical, the bezel does have that unique
'up' and
'down' indications. They are plain as day on the eBay listing photo. Now I agree that paying $75 for a knob and bezel probably isn't worth it, but Biquette's knob is in good condition and I appreciate having that knob right where it is if for no other reason for the memories it brings:

I guess my point is that the knob doesn't make so much the $$, but more so the switch.
Okay, I see your point, but of course Biquette has been a very good girl, so her switch was in just as good a shape as the knob!

My parents were smokers in my youth and replacing the cigarette lighter jack was something of a struggle, but that was the only thing I needed to replace on the dash cluster.
Such is the luxury of having a classic that has always gotten a lot of
luv' . . . . .

Refurbished dash with refurbished top switch.
Congrats!
That does look very nice and indeed, you started from a car in much rougher shape than my wagon.

. . .
The only thing I don't understand is how you plan to load 4'x8' sheets of plywood into your convertible! . . .

Cheers, Edouard
