Hagerty's wagon recommendations: Buy a Buick!
« on: November 22, 2017, 05:30:20 PM »
Dear mid-60s Buick "long-roof" fans,

Hagerty is out with an article on which wagons to buy, which to sell, and which to hold on to:

https://www.hagerty.com/articles-videos/articles/2017/11/21/wagons-to-buy-sell-hold

It isn't a mid-60s Buick wagon that they recommend that you buy, but nonetheless they do recommend buying a very particular Buick wagon: the 1991-96 Buick Roadmaster!

There is at least one person on this forum who also has a fondness for those wagons and I think it could be more popular then we've had to admit until now!  :hello2:

Cheers, Edouard  :occasion14:

Dear Loren and Buick "long-roof" fans of any age!

Read that one earlier today.  Hey I've had a '94 since 2007.

Do you know if somebody has started to make reproduction parts for these models?  They have had a special place in car lover's hearts as soon as they were discontinued and they are getting old enough that some of the plastic parts must be starting to look a little "weary."

A curious mind would like to know!

Cheers, Edouard

I haven't seen anything in the way of reproduction parts.  There are crash parts made, like fenders, hoods, sedan grille.

1994-6 Roadmaster wagons make 2019 list (Re: Hagerty's recommendations)

Dear 65GS.com Buick "longroof" fans,

Over a year ago, Hagerty recommended collecting the 1994-6 Buick Roadmaster wagons.  They are out with their recommendations of the top 10 cars they expect to increase in value and once more these Buick wagons made the list:

https://www.hagerty.com/articles-videos/articles/2019/01/07/best-collector-cars-to-buy-now-2019-bull-market-list

So if you don't mind dealing with one of those "new fangled" immature wagons, perhaps you should start looking for one of these!
