Guys - I've decided to sell my GS. Sadly there are just not enough hours in the day to support another project. I really only want to sell it to someone here, though because the car deserves to be finished by someone who cares. It's a hardtop, factory 3 speed with all numbers matching drivetrain down to the correct carb. He original linkage and shift handle is gone but the correct FoMoCo tranny is there. Posi rear, Verde Greed with saddle buckets originally ( was repainted years back a different color green). Since these pics were taken, I've installed a new set of seat covers (F&R) and the new door panels just need the top rail installed and to be put on the car. I also detailed the engine bay and cleaned/painted the motor. Car runs strong no smoke.
Here is a bit of rust in the passenger rear wheelwell ( of course) but I've got a solid rear qtr for any kind of patch panels you want. The other issue with the car is the trunk lid. Some punks used a crowbar to pry it open years ago and boogered the lid and the lip inside the trunk. I've got a good lid off a special and a trunk lip section off same car to fix it. Car is basically rust free other than the qtr. a previous owner shave the doorhandles and trunk emblem but I've got two super solid GS doors that go with it for an easy swap. Have the door handles and emblems as well. I added power brake booster because the car was a bear to drive w/o it.
Original soft trim build sheet and protect-o-plate is with car. I am 4th owner. Car was originally purchased in VA and came out here with the owner back in the 60's who was in the military.
I have a super nice saddle dash pad (original) to replace the cracked one in the car. I've also got some sought-after additional parts like a consolette and tach that I will either sell with the car or I'll ebay them if the new owner doesn't want them. Asking $6,000. Car is near Seattle. If you are interested in talking further, please post something here, then email me at: HD45WLA at gmail.com or call my cell at two-five-three-two-seven-nine-two-seven-one-three. Thanks for your interest. Darin
