inner tie rod ends ?
«

I,m starting to order my suspension parts and was wondering where everyone is getting there inner tie rod ends from .
I would like to get inners that have the grease zerk pointing inward towards the center of the car and not backwards towards the rear car . ( the way the factory ones are )
I was bidding on a NOS set on e bay but they went for 382.00 . And NO I didn't get them . lol

John,
Take a look at the first picture I posted in your fuel/brake line thread. The zerk is pointing toward the center of the car, except I installed a right-angle zerk in that came with the tie rod end. I bought all my suspension components from ESPO:
http://www.springsnthings.com/.
Laura at ESPO is very helpful and their prices were very reasonable, with really good service after the sale as well. I highly recommend them. While I bought what she recommended for a stock setup, I understand they can customize springs to change ride heights and attitude if desired. My parts were old stock McQuay-Norris, some of them produced in the USA. They appeared to be high quality.

Chuck,
Have you turned the wheels lock to lock with those 90 degree fittings on?

Mark,
No I haven't. I can easily replace them with straight zerks, though, if that will solve a potential problem. Thanks for the heads up!

Chuck,
The straight ones won't work either - been there.
Keep the zerks in there and grease them - then put plugs in. I bought a small bag of them Speedway.

Oh, I thought that zerks on the end of the tie rod end was correct. That's what came off my car, so I thought it was OK. Maybe my tie rod ends had already been changed to aftermarket parts.....
Thanks again for the info.

Chuck,
Guess it's worth checking first. I ordered Moog tie rod ends but when you turn the wheels, the inner rod end comes very close to the front cross member.
