Went down and picked her up.

She's the real deal.. a 43,000 mile gem in the rough.

The pictures that were posted made her look a lot rougher than she really is.  It looks like someone tried to strip the paint with a paint stripper at one time and made a mess of things.

The worse parts of the car are the passenger quarter panel where it was hit in the 70's.  A small tear on the quarter lip and a big dent that I think can be pulled out and metal finished back into shape.  The drivers side quarter is seriously near perfect!  Not a pinhole to be found!

The floors are perfect and the trunk pan has one little hole in it where something was stored in a can (I think he said thinner) and ate through the can and then the floor (easy patch).

Other than that, the "replacement" sheet metal that someone hung on the car from a white Skylark is the worse part.  These parts are all coming off and I have perfect sheet metal that will get hung in their place.  The whole car will get soda blasted this winter and I'm planning on using my spare motor in this car so that it's sold running (of course the numbers matching engine will come with it for the new owner to rebuild at their specs).

The 4 speed slid into gear as it should and all that appears to be missing is the linkage from the clutch arm to the transmission (anyone have a spare?)  The car even has it's original four speed console that is complete and in really nice condition.

The front buckets are also missing and this will be another part I'll need to keep an eye out for.

Give me some time to pull the parts off the car that don't belong there and clean everything up and I'll get some pictures of my new treasure on-line for all you guys to see.

More to come....

Wow, it sounds great Chris.
Judging by the pictures, it looked like a half decent shell that needed all new interior and exterior trim replaced.
Good to hear it's a solid car, those finds are a rarity in these parts.

For the clutch linkage, do you need just the lower link, or one of the cast pieces?
Doug at the Buick Farm might have something.
