Received an email and spoke with Alan yesterday.

An issue has arisen in that some of the cores were shipped minus the clips or unusable clips.  It appears that PMI has had to "rob Peter to pay Paul" up to this point and now short clips to finish the last few pads.

If you can help, it would be greatly appreciated. Picture is of the clips needed.

All

More encouragement!!!!

Just hung up the phone with a call from El Paso TX.

They said they were shipping my 65 dash out today via FEDEX and I should receive it this next week.

It sounds like they are on the move again.

I thanked them for taking on this project because it sure means a lot to us.

Hi Everyone,

Guess what showed up at my door while I was out of town on business? It looks awesome. I had mine painted and they got the color spot on too! Funny thing was I was in Houston and must of crossed paths with the pad an it's way to WI. Funny

Really pleased with this piece.

Loren,

We all can't say enough for the work you did in so many ways for this project!!

I hope this news brings a smile and relief into the weekend for you.

Cheers!

Tony

PS so when are we going to do a hood emblem repro??

Got mine today as well. Color is more brown than the maroon red I was wanting (sent them a different core but included large pieces from the underside of the actual pad to color match to). Will look at it closer in the light of day and perhaps my disappointment will change.

It has been a long year , with the exception of myself and one other, all pads have been delivered.

In regards to color, hindsight makes me think it may have been best to have them done by someone local.  That may have resulted in a better match.   :dontknow:
Overall ,  Alan did turn out an excellent product from the standpoint of fit and appearance.

My thanks to everyone that came on board to make this happen.  I certainly appreciate every ones patience.

Hi all,

Got mine a week before Turkey day, looks very nice though to take a picture of it it looks black, even though its dark blue, won't get to fitting it in the car till next spring most likely as the car went into storage for winter.

Want to thank Loren for all the effort as well as Alan and his company for taking on the project as without vendors willing to take a chance our hobby would soon go the way of the Dodo bird.

Cheers will have to post some pictures when I have a few more minutes

Regards,

Jim

Loren

Received my white interior dash pad November 16.

I didn't let you know because I wanted to install it to show you how well it fit.

Unfortunately my schedule hasn't allowed it and real winter is upon us.

The dash grain is absolutely perfect and the shape looks really good.

I had my white interior dash colored dark gray like original.

Like you have stated I would recommend having it colored locally for a better match. I still have my original dash installed in my white 65 GS and the new one is black by comparison.

I would also strongly recommend anyone needing one of these dashes talk to Alan.

No one has mentioned it yet but I received a note with my dash indicating Alan was interested in buying additional 65 Buick A body dash cores if anyone is interested.

Loren

I don't know what I can say that hasn't already been said about your involvement with this project but your the best!!!!!!

Thank You

Wasn't there talk of an armrest run too?

Just curious if there was any development on the potential for doing arm rest pads?
