Kudos, Loren.  Your persistence has paid off for all of us.  Yeah, some might be a bit upset that the shipments were delayed, but from your description, the quality of the restoration will bring a smile to all of our faces.  In fact, I guess I'll have to decide which pad I want to use in my restoration.  Nice decision to have to make!

Well done!   :occasion14:

Thanks for all that you do!!

Any ideas as to what the price is going to be for a dash pad from them? Mine is shot so I'll be needing one but would prefer not to pay a just dashes price for one if at all possible. Thanks!

Price will be $425 for black, plus shipping and a good core exchange.

Add $25 for color change

They were planing on producing them this week.   I put a wrinkle in that plan though.

The pad PMI sent me to test fit, didn't have the clips installed.  So I put some on from another core I have here.  Things looked good till a few days latter, I noticed slight raised round spots that aligned with the clips.  It appears the foam was  pushed up slightly by the thickness of the clip.  It wasn't evident right away, unfortunately.
PMI is making a correction to resolve this issue.

That is where it is at , presently.

Dear Loren and mid-60s Buick fans of everything fitting "just right!"

They were planing on producing them this week.   I put a wrinkle in that plan though.

. . .

So I put some on from another core I have here.  Things looked good till a few days latter, I noticed slight raised round spots that aligned with the clips.  It appears the foam was  pushed up slightly by the thickness of the clip.  It wasn't evident right away, unfortunately.

Sure the delay is a disappointment to everyone waiting for their dash pads.  Still, if they had the choice of waiting a little longer or having those ugly bumps forever - the choice should be clear.  No matter how long the delay, having a beautifully restored dash pad in your car will soon make the long wait fade away!   :love4:

Cheers, Edouard

Quite the contrary, I find it to be wonderful news. It's reassuring to know the QA process is so thorough. Thank you Loren for taking the additional time to mimic a true installation.

Loren,
Regarding the clips.  The test fit dash pad you received did not have them.  Will the finished product come with the clips installed?

I missed this post, sorry for the late response.

 That is a good question.
The answer is, if the core was sent with clips, then it will have the clips. That said, if the pad was sent to PMI without clips, then most likely it will not.  The clips are not available separately, so PMI can not install clips they were not sent.
