Dear mid-60s Buick fellows with their noses frequently poking under the hood,

If you are on the Eastwood email deals list you probably already know this but there is a 1 day sale on Eastwood's folding LED hood light.  This link should work for you if you don't have the email:

http://enews.eastwood.com/q/9NtA4_fyLGLEBTfecqsGE3L91PvNRnIxcjUAC0rS0JvMmmdQ1qcEy0iJN

It is an expensive light, but it is clearly well designed and could be extremely handy because of the way it can be attached to the hood or other parts of the car.  Here is a photo of how it works from the Eastwood website:

Personally I wouldn't simply clamp the light without protecting the paint with a cloth, but it's a free country.

At 10% off and free shipping, it looks like something worth considering.  I'm going to review wishlist for Eastwood and try to snag it later today.

FYI, . . . . . Edouard

Dear mid-60s Buick fans of "sekret weepons." . . . .

Eastwood must have a bit too much inventory of these folding LED hood lights.  There is another 1 day sale on them today:

http://www.eastwood.com/eastwood-professional-folding-led-light.html

Mine arrived a few days ago and I'm liking it much more than I first imagined.  It is extremely handy for lighting up the entire engine bay if you don't have a well lit area to work in.  I have bought the lights to improve the lighting in the garage but still haven't installed them!

However, I've realized that this light should be especially handy for car shows.  My wagon will be indoors in a dimly lit service bay on Saturday.  That doesn't exactly show off the chrome very well.  However add the Eastwood LED light and . . . . .

It can be powered by 12 Volts so I need to get an adapter so I can hook it up to the battery and bingo!

As before FYI, . . . . .

Edouard

P.S.  However, you have to come up with your own socks to protect the paint!  :laughing7:
