  • Caretaker of one assertive "billy-goat" wagon
Dear George and mid-60s Buick seekers of "cool air."

Interesting! Now i get it. I agree, a single would be better.

Unfortunately, that is precisely my problem.  So far I haven't found an air cleaner housing that would work exactly for my wagon.  The engine is very tall and the EFI throttle body is also taller than a carb.  So there is very little "head room" for the air cleaner.   If fact I'm using a 14" by 2-1/2" filter element that was originally used in in 1982-85 Buick Century's that were fitted with a 4.3 L 260 CID V6 Diesel of all things.  I haven't looked, but I was wondering if I could get my hands on the air cleaner from one of those cars and modify that.  It is going to take some custom work in my case.

I have seen single duct cold air intakes but I haven't been able to find them lately.  Anybody else on 65GS.com know of an example?

Cheers, Edouard  :occasion14:
