Brian,

Was the insulation on the tube that I gave you too short also?

I used braided fiberglass sleeving. Don't recall if we had some at work or I bought it somewhere. Napa?
Avail from industrial/electronic suppliers.... Alpha wire, Allied cable, and sellers like Digikey, Newark electronics, Omega engineering.
Probable Graingers/ McMaster too.
Even Amazon has it:

John,
The insulation on the tube I got from you is long enough, just not pretty enough!  I have the original off my car and it looks a lot like what I got from you.  Everything under the hood of this car looks fresh and brand new, so need the insulation to be pearly white like new.  I ended up routing the tube differently than your original.  The original 65 4bbl tube interferes with the spark plug loom standoff on the 66 valve cover (65 was in a different location).   I have the 18" insulation I bought from Eckler's Corvettes for now.
I just talked to a place called ACE Industrial Mfg in CA and they have the correct stuff sold by the foot.  Have to mail them a check to get it, but they can set me up with a min order of 20' at $1.25 per foot plus shipping.

Walt,
The size we need is 1/4".  It is sold as ID, so it fits perfect over the 1/4" OD steel tubing the choke tube is made from.
