Dear Jim, Chuck, Kevin, and mid-60s audiophiles,
That looks great in there Edouard. I need to be some tunes in my 65 too.
PS: You're likely to see a radio like yours in my restoration!
Since I've been living with this car since I was a boy, I was absolutely desperate to get anything that would not molest the dash and would provide a modern sound. So when I found Custom Autosound back in the mid-90s I jumped. Having had a stereo like that for 20 years, that's what I'm used to and I prefer the convenience of having the stereo controls in exactly the same position of the old AM radio.
But, there are now many more options for a classic car. For starters, Custom Autosound has two competitors - RetroSound:

http://www.casmfg.com/In addition to replacing the radio a number of companies make "secret stereos" that you locate somewhere else like the glove compartment so that your car remains 100% original. Still another option is to have a stereo module inserted into your existing radio. Walt found us yet another mousetrap in a secret radio that works via Bluetooth and is controlled completely by your smart phone:

Cheers, Edouard
