I would like to have one of those cars as a bench seat factory four speed. There is supposedly a few of them around,but I have not seen any. Do they exist?

Here is a nice condition Sportwagon for sale.  I think it needs a lot to make it worth the $$$ though.

It does look very nice, but I couldn't help but puzzle over the same point made by the one comment to the post:

Do you have the original wheel set, since most of us are original guys?

Neither the wheels nor the tires are appropriate.  I don't see anything else that has been molested, but somebody who most probably wasn't the original buyer changed the wheels and tires.  It is a very strange thing to do.  If I had to guess, this car became a hand-me-down to a younger person in the family who then changed the wheels to produce a more sporty look.  Anyone thinking about buying this car should have it carefully inspected because if my scenario is correct, this car could have been driven relatively hard in recent years.

The wheels don't do anything for me either.

Along with the front seat being redone in cloth, cracked steering wheel, missing bumper filler on driver front corner , miss-aligned passenger door/ fender trim and serious lack of a clean engine bay.

wow, that's a lot of dough for a sport wagon.  Maybe mine is worth more than I thought.....

• The front seat being redone in cloth
• Cracked steering wheel
• serious lack of a clean engine bay.

But that's all what you would expect from normal wear perhaps with someone who wasn't too aware of how to care for something like the engine bay or interior.

Now this is more interesting.  My wagon was in front end accidents and is missing both front bumper fillers.  However both original rear fillers are in place.  It is odd to have a miss-alignment on the passenger side but a missing part on the driver's side.  Still that does suggest this car was in at least 1 perhaps 2 accidents.  Another reason to have an appraiser give the car a careful look over.
