Southern California, any members located there?

Fellow 65GS board members,

  I will be stationed in Camp Pendleton for a few months starting this weekend. If any of you live in the vicinity and would like to meet up I'm sure I will have some liberty during the weekends.

  I would love to put a face with a name and possibly see some of the cars and hear the stories. If anyone is able and interested let me know through here with a PM and a contact number or I will provide mine.

  Hopefully my next stop will be on the heels of these ISIS pukes.

Greetings from the colder end,
I wish I was in California. Michigan is pretty decent this time of year. I just wanted to say good luck in the future, and thank you for maintaining some borders on our country. You guys definitely earn your pay. I hope you get a better boss in the future....lol.

Jonesy - first, thank you for your service!!  It's folks like you that keep us safe, and make us able to do the things we want to do rather than what others want us to do.  You are going to like Camp Pendleton, right on the beach, with lots of extracurricular activities within a very short drive. I live about 90 minutes away from there, but pass through once a month or so when visiting my parents, who live in northern San Diego County.  Best of luck during your time there!!

  There is no place I would rather be in the summer than Michigan. After you've experienced a few summers here in South Florida, (almost 30 summers now) it begins to take its toll on you. Repressive humidity, so I'm looking forward to heading back out to sunny Southern California. My family and I have been doing Woodward or Back to the Bricks religiously for years. It's a great time to be up there.

  On another note, I want to thank both you and Keith for the support. I am a 48 year old reservist with about 6 years left in order to retire. I can still hang with the majority of the young bucks, but it sure takes me a lot longer to recover. Time in the field with the Marines and jumping out of C-130's takes it's toll on you, especially at my age. But I love it to death, look forward to all the time with my brothers that I get, and am always willing to answer the call.

  Thank goodness for an extremely supportive wife.

I don,t really know of any one out in California , just wanted to thank you for your service .
