Sigh, trouble with "modern" art! (Was: . . a few photos of my 65 GS)
« Reply #60 on: May 23, 2016, 11:18:08 AM »
Dear Loren and mid-60s Buick "art patrons" . . . .  :laughing7:

Seems no one else in the family appreciates '65 Buick lawn art. LOL

. . . . That's the trouble with people these days.  All they want is "modern" art! . . .

Seriously, it does look like you're going to be running a marathon over the next three weeks.  I hope you can catch up and that the wedding goes well!

Cheers, Edouard  :occasion14:

Not much to report on the 65 GS as far as body work yet , BUT my arm rest bases arrived back home today .   :icon_thumright:
I am VERY PLEASED with the turn out .  They even put the reflective tape on the end .
Chrome Tech USA did a super job and I will definitely be using them again in the future .

Plastic rechroming; Chrome Tech in Madison, WI. I used Bob for the armrest bases, the main plastic component in a GS or Skylark interior that will need attention. 3M makes the reflective material you'll need for the end of the  armrest base visible when the door is open. http://www.chrometechusa.com/

Jim , they cost me 115.00 . and that included shipping them back to me .
They also packed them very well so they would,nt get damaged .
I talked to Bob over the phone before I sent them , he was super friendly and even knew about the red reflector on the end .
Nice guy .

Tweak to Chrome Tech URL (Was: My 65 GS)
« Reply #69 on: July 26, 2016, 04:32:44 PM »
Dear John, Dan, Chuck, Loren, Jim, and mid-60s Buick sufferers from Internet pedantics,

I finally got around to grabbing the URL for Chrome Tech and unfortunately Loren's URL doesn't quite work.  I suspect they have changed their website and the page doesn't come up.  So if you want to bookmark something that actually brings up the home page this is what you want:

http://www.chrometechusa.com/

Cheers, Edouard

P.S. Until they change it again of course . . . .  :BangHead:

Dear Jim, Loren and mid-60s Buick "victims" of improving technology . . . . . .  :BangHead:

I changed my post and will correct the information in "65 Skylark & GS Parts Sources" thread in our Q&A section.

. . . . No! . . . .

Little do you know that by actually displaying the correct address you have initiated a process by which all web addresses will be changed in order to make sure we all have to start searching again!  It is the same situation when our supermarkets move everything around so we can't find what we want - only supersized!!

Seriously, I do hope such a thing is impossible, but of course I could be wrong ya' know!

Had some time today to do some more disassembling , got the tail lights out and most of the parts labeled and put into totes .
Only thing left is pull off both doors and the quarter glass .
THEN the next photo,s will probably be when I turn my hard top into a convertible  :evil6:
