need battery hold down for a 65 gs

Hi, I need the stock battery hold down for a 1965 skylark gs. Was cleaning the engine compartment and noticed no hold down at all. I will visit local junk yards on the 30th so I may find one. Let me know if you may have an extra or a one from a parts car. Thanks in advance for your help. Bill.

If you can't find used ones, they're available as exact repro from CARS Inc. The hold down clamp is Part #BC65GS at $ 27.50 and the hold down bolt is part # BB610 at $ 5.75.

Thanks for the info Mister T. Parts yard closed til Tuesday, so I will try them first. then contact cars inc. Thanks, as car is all original and want to keep it that way. Bill

Well, bought the part from CARS INC., i REALLY DON'T THINK i WOULD HAVE FOUND A USED ONE. THANKS AGAIN FOR THE INFO, i WILL USE THAT SITE AGAIN!!!BILL

You're most welcome. Those parts tend to disintegrate over time. The one on my Bamboo Cream car literally fell apart right after I had the safety inspection done.  :angry9:
