65 gs show car pics?
« on: December 31, 2013, 11:22:07 PM »
HAPPY NEW YEAR! :rocker: Has anyone seen or ever heard of a show car  1965 gs? Do you own it? I was digging through some old pictures and found
these they were given to me by a Buick club member sometime ago, forgot that I had them! The car pictured was built as a show car I was told? It has strange looking bucket seats ( looks like something from the trim shop at Buick), riv style arm rest on the door with brushed trim, insert style front floor mats, pin striped body .

Wow, fascinating stuff! Wonder what became of it?
Reminds me of the '70 GSX prototype that had the custom interior.
Couple of ideas on finding more info:
The Sloan museum in Flint would be where I'd start.
Old car magazines likely covered the big 'new car' shows back then. First step would be to find which cities held them.
There was a Worlds Fair in NY 64/65 with a huge GM exhibit, but it may have been too early to include a '65 GS.
