Rhett,

I have a ST300 from a 66 GS.  It has been replaced with a T-10. It was working when I pulled it, but I took the pressure regulator valve out of the pump for my 65 GS (the spring is GS specific).  The bushings in the pump were looking worn as I remember.  I am in NE PA and travel to CT for work a few times a month.  I get to Hartford about once every six months and was there about a month ago.  I do go as far as New Haven regularly.

Dr. Frankenbuick - can you give me a call? My internals are good, so this might work out fine....

iI have a trans out of a 65 gs parts car....I don't want to sound too idiotic, but is it a 300?  It was a two speed automatic that only had 70k on the car when I pulled it.  I drove the car , it shifted fine and the fluid was very red.  I am in mid michigan

Hey Schlep! If it was bolted to a nailhead motor, it is probably a ST300.......Nice find but I dont need it right now.I was able to get together with Dr. Frankenbuick earlier this week and get his, and both transmissions are at the tranny shop as we speak.

However, if the price was right and shipping didnt kill the deal, I might be interested in yours too at some point - there are some numbers on the round cover of the passenger side of the trans, above the pan rail - could you list those here?  There shold be an "NK" somewhere in the sequence..

Thanks!

Hey bigpig455,
I do not have that trans at my house, but it sounds like you're on the way to driving again anyway. good luck.....and watch out for that bobbybuick guy....I bought a frame from him and he made his woman load it on the truck.  The bad part was that both of our ladies couldn't load it by themselves and I had to help too.
