1965 Wildcat GS
« on: January 01, 2013, 02:33:02 PM »
All,

Happy New Year!

I was just visiting my parents in Texas and found the attached 1965 Wildcat GS one day while surfing the local craigslist.  I'm not a Wildcat afficianado, but I know at least a few folks love them.  From what I  could read up, the 65 Wildcat Gran Sports were merely emblem Gran Sports without any true upgrades, but this might still be an interesting big cat.

It has always been my understanding that the wildcat GS was only made one year--1966.  Someone like Ted that knows alot more about wildcats can chime in and give more information.

I've seen this ad a couple times now and think its about 3000 overpriced.
Really rough and 66 is the only year for the Wildcat Gran Sport!

I read similar history about the only true Wildcat GS being from 66.  But I also read other places that it was not uncommon for dealers to badge the late 65 wildcats as GS since they knew the 66 Wildcat GS was coming.  In any case, interesting but far from perfect.
