NOS antenna 1356928

My book says it fits a 63-64 4000 series, but my book does not have a listing for 1965???

Definitely a full size car antenna.  Won't fit an A-body.   A-body antenna mounts through the top of the fender on the cowl, and does not protrude down below the cowl--would get into the interior if it did.
