'65 Gran Sport Upper Console Boot-Any Interest?

My source for the boot part number is a parts book dated May 1965. But am also confused. Why do we need part numbers ? We know what the part looks like.

I need the most accurate part number to see if this part was used by any other years, makes or models. A batch of just 25 boots from Metro isn't going to happen; they told me on the phone today that the more cars these fit, the likelihood of production goes up.  Hoping the part number would also cross reference to some year & model Chevrolet.   

For what its worth, the part number is often how I confirm parts reproduced for other makes & models fit our Buicks - for example, the cross referenced part number is how I was able to determine that the Corvair hood emblem clips are the same for our trunk emblems and Skylark sail panel emblems. Without that exact part number, I never would have been able to determine that.

Logically,  we know that the 68-72 models have a flat shifter handle, so how can they have the same part number as the 65-67 round shifter handles? Supersession?

I just got this today about a run of blue pedal pads. No way unless theres a brazillion units. Gotta get the blue rubber etc. Odd that they make the elctra BLUE brake pads and black clutch units but cant put the two together for a few special guys. Maybe we need to get the guy on the forum???  ws

produce parts in are black, grey, chocolate brown. It's possible to do

I've got different numbers! LOL

Is there a consensus on the following (Group 4.015) part numbers? My guesses are below

384431 = boot for round shifter lever NO console
3842926 = a Chevelle part number for lower console boot for cars WITH consolette???
1361008 = upper consolette boot for 68-72 with FLAT shifter handle AND console (i.e. the current and only repro) - so what about the 65-67 with round shifter and console?

I'm so confused haha

Dan , the boot that was in my 65 GS parts car has the part number 3842926 on it . I suppose its possible that it could have been replaced at one time but I really doubt it . Everything on tis car looks VERY original .

I did some further research.
388494 and 3842926 - lower boot - round shifter WITH console. Also a Chevelle part.
384431 - boot - round shifter WITHOUT console. Also an Olds F85 (1st design part)
1361008 - upper boot - WITH console (Dan A. - my book shows same number)

As shown in the 1966  and 1973 Buick parts books, I can confirm those numbers.
Note the lower boot pn changed between the 1966 and 1973 books.
Note the upper boot is the same pn for both 65-67 round lever and 68-72 rectangular lever.
There may have been a different boot for  early 1965 GS (no consolette). Mark had a different style in his car than the later version.

1966 Parts book:
(1966) 388494   seal, lvr. weatherseal to underbody (with consolette)
(65-66) 1361008   seal, gear shift (with console
(65-66) 384431   seal, control lvr  (less consolette)

1972 Parts book:
(65-67) 3842926   seal, weatherseal to underbody (with console)
(65-72) 1361008   seal, gear shift (with console)
(65-67) 384431   seal, control lvr  (less consolette)

Dan , i,m not sure if it was a console car or not  . There wasn't much left of this car when I bought it . Was there mounting tabs somewhere on the floor that the console fastened to ? The shell of the car is still here so i could look for signs of a console if i knew what to look for .

No tabs.  The consolette base attaches to the tunnel with screws.  See attached.

Unfortunately, doesn't look like 1361008 fits any other year/make or model besides 65-67 Skylark & GS with manual trans & consolette (ignoring the fact that this same part number was used for the rectangular shifter from 68-72)

Perhaps we can reach out to Doug at Buick Farm? He did make a great cross shaft boot.

  The boot in the picture you posted looks like the lower boot that attaches to the floor.  The upper consolette boot has three tabs that protrude off the bottom edge with the mounting holes in them.

Dan , It looks like the parts car I have here was probably a NON console car . I didn't see any holes in the floor that look like they would have held down a
console .
