401 thermostat and gasket
« on: September 26, 2011, 10:55:23 AM »
Where can I get the proper 160 degree thermostat and gasket for my 65?  Got the standard GM one from Jegs and it is the wrong size/wrong gasket shape.  Will my parts store have this?
thanks
Pat

If memory serve me correctly, both the gasket and thermostat from a small block Mopar will fit almost perfectly. I'm quite certain that's what I used on mine. There was no gasket cutting or trimming required.
