1965 Skylark Rolling Chassis

Is there any interest in a 65 Skylark rolling frame? I have a 65 that the body is just too far gone after getting into it. I powder coated the frame which was rust free and straight beforehand I just wanted to rust proof it. Included on it are new pro header tubular A arms, ridetech 1.5? lowering springs, front 2 piston disc brakes, poly urethane bushings, and the original non-posi 10 bolt rear end with 2.73 gears. I?d like to get $1000 for the complete setup with everything I?ve listed. I can provide pictures upon request. Let me know if you have any additional questions. Thanks.

The 65 A-body Buick GS and Convertable frames were boxed at the factory to improve rigidity.

Is your frame boxed?

My apologies on the delayed response. My phone won't allow me to post pictures for whatever reason. The car is a standard 2 door hard top. So it's not boxed, however there are kits out there available for boxing if interested. You'll find attached pictures of the frame, including some I took today of the suspension components I've installed. Let me know if you have any additional questions.

Would you know if this frame would fit a 1967 GS400? First time I have ever had to replace a frame and it is a little overwhelming! My frame is currently boxed but I have had people say this would fit with minimal modifications if it would I'm definitely interested. Would you have a link or info for the box kits you are referring to? Thanks in advance

Sure no worries. I?ve had someone with experience say the same that the 64-67 frames are the same wheelbase and the 68-72 are the same. Based on that it should work with minimal mods. The frame boxing kit I?ve heard people recommend that works well is from ABC performance. Here?s the link.

Would you know if this frame would fit a 1967 GS400? ....

It would fit but there are some differences.
- The 67 has bolt holes in the frame for the longer ST400 trans that became available that year. Should be an easy mod tho.
- 67 used a rear spring with a pigtail at the frame end, 64-66 used a spring that was 'open' at the end. Probably best to use the early spring.
- Front crossmember is slightly different between 64-5 and 66-7, under the oil pan, but it's just a cosmetic difference.
