yes I agree about the odd looking pivot on the bell housing linkage.. isn't that supposed to be a ball shape there?  I was thinking if the car were truly rust free and ALL the hard to find parts were present it might be worth 5K but that's a big maybe.

well we are a ways apart on price.. he is asking $9000 and I don't think it's worth near that much in current condition..what's your opinion on a reasonable price? keep in mind the car needs everything

For comparison, there's a decent 4 speed car in Vermont for $14k. Show him the ad:
http://burlington.craigslist.org/cto/5136118956.html
He's likely ill-informed and thinks a GS is worth double the going rate.

And Joe65Skylark on here and V8 would sell his 4 speed post car for around 10k. I believe the chassis is done. Body shell was soda blasted and primed. Needs assembly.

Door panels are very hard to find,is the rear seat in good
Condition? Post only !and not easy to find! All new wiring
Harnesses will cost you over a thousand dollars! The post
We are working on came with all new harnesses and rebuilt
Motor ,nailheads are not cheap to rebuild! Is the rear end correct?
We had to build one $1200, but it is correct 65 with a
3.23 four pin posi! 65's are rare and a 3 speed post even rarer
But they don't bring anything close to what a GTO would bring!

He's not going to find a buyer at his asking price!
Make him a firm, reasonable offer.... and wait.
Meanwhile, keep your eyes open for a parts car.

just an FYI for you guys, I made an offer of $5000 twice for the post car which given the condition is a very fair price and he didn't bother to respond.

Bob, did you see Brandon's (sodak) car for sale? It's a thin pillar and was a 3 speed.
Disassembled, but you know how to put them back together!

"Can you box a Skylark frame?  I know where one is available  :icon_thumright:

Chuck"

I have a couple of Skylark frames here too.  I've thought it would be possible to box an open frame, using salvaged frame pieces from a bad boxed frame, rather then try to make something.  Would need to come up with the frame pieces to salvage.

"Loren,

That one is already in play for another project Brian.
