Took the convertible out today for it's maiden voyage.Went a little far for the first time (80 miles round trip) but it was running soooooo good. Now you have to remember, this car has sat in a building since 1978.I tuned it up,rebuilt the carb, changed belts and hoses, had the radiator recored, flushed the motor and cooling system, new water pump and stat. The car never missed a beat.Have a issue with a bad tire and a brake pedal not to my liking but i will address these this week.I'm just a happy little camper!    Tom

I'm not happy and not dancing anymore! The ONLY part of the cooling system i didn't replace? You guessed it,the heater core.Started leaking today.I by-passed it but it looks like crap. The inner fender has to be dropped down i believe to access the core.Oh well you know what they say about idle hands.   "Leaking in Cleveland."

That seems to always happen to me also Tom...   :-\

When you make everything else stronger, it's always bound to break in the weakest spot.
